Nolan Hayes

Pastor

Pastor Nolan Hayes grew up in Osceola, Nebraska. Nolan graduated from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA with a degree in Religion. He completed his Master’s of Divinity Program at Sioux Falls Seminary in the Spring 2016. Nolan has been the pastor of First Baptist Church Beatrice since January 1, 2017. Nolan is married to Amanda and their children include: Asher (8), Lydia (6), Ezra (3) and Josiah (1).

Weekly Bible Study
  • Wednesdays at 10:00AM-11:30AM
    • Bible Study is held at the First Baptist Church.  Anyone is welcome to attend at any time!
Men's Group
  • Men's group meets every 3rd Saturday of the month at 8:30AM
    • This is an opportunity for men to enjoy food and fellowship with one another. Members and non-members are welcome to attend.  This group meets at the church and then often goes out for breakfast together. The men's group does various activities together, including community service projects.
Women's Group
  • Women's group meets every 1st Wednesday of each month for lunch at 11:30AM.
    • Locations for lunch vary.  Anyone is welcome to join! Contact Susan Schwarz for details #402-223-8895.
Pots & Pans Ministry
  • A variety of kitchen and household items are available upon request for anyone in need.

Foster Care Closet
  • This ministry's goal is to support foster parents and assist in providing for the needs of foster children.  The Foster Care Closet has clothing available for sizes newborn to junior/adult as well as coats, socks, shoes, stuffed animals, toys, books, and other items that a foster child may need or enjoy.
    • We would gladly accept donations of any clean, like-new items for the foster care closet. Donations can be dropped off at the church or picked up, upon request.

Christmas Dinner
  • December 25th : anytime between 3:00pm-5:00pm
  • This is a community-supported meal that is hosted by the First Baptist Church on Christmas Day.  A full, hot meal is served at the church that includes turkey, many delicious sides, and desserts. Everyone is invited to attend---bring a friend or your family! Leave the meal preparations and clean up to our wonderful volunteers!

Youth Group
Every Wednesday from 6:30-7:30PM from September until April/May.
Classes include:
  • Pre-K to 1st Grade
  • 2nd-5th Grade
  • Mid-High
Anyone is welcome to attend and bring a friend!

Vacation Bible School
  • This youth opportunity is designed for Pre-K (4 years) through Elementary School ages (11/12 years).
  • Middle School and High School ages are encouraged to assist with the crafts, games, skits, or helping with the younger children.

Camp Moses Merrill
First Baptist Church encourages youth and families to participate in camp at Moses Merrill.  Scholarships are available for those in need.  Camp opportunities are available for young kids, high school and college students (as staff), as well as families (Family Camp).  More information can be found at http://campmerrill.com/
